A question asked by our brother Abu Humaid to Shaikh Al-Fawzaan on the 1st Oct 2011
Question: The questioner is from the West. In our masjid there are Quraan classes that take place before the 'Eesha prayer, this (timing) is due to the work hours in this land. And throughout a part of the year, the beginning time for the 'eesha prayer enters around 6:20pm, and the prayer is established at 7pm so that we can complete the Quran classes first.
His question: When do we give the adhaan (call for prayer)? Do we give the adhaan at the point when the time (for 'eesha) enters, or when we finish from the classes?
The Answer: Give the adhaan at the time you (intend to) pray, when you want to pray give the adhaan because you are still within the time (for the 'eesha prayer).
