Excerpt: Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Qayyim (d. 751, rahimahullaah) said: "If Allaah ('Azza wa Jall) desires good for His servant, He causes him to forget his acts of obedience and removes their [remembrance] from his heart and tongue. So if [the worshipper] is tested with a sin, he directs his attention towards it and forgets his acts of obedience, completely concerned with his wrongdoing."
