Do Not Use Falsehood To Play The Role of Savior For The Tainted Image of Masjid ar-Rahmah, Yaa Abaa Laylah (http://www.salafyink.com/studentsofknowledge/Do_Not_Play_Savior.pdf)

Student of knowledge Abu Yusuf Khaleefah (hafidhahullaah) refuted Abu Layla 'Abdul-Lateef of Masjid Rahmah for his erroneous, evil and heretical explanation of the statement of the Prophet (salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) "the leaders of the Muslimeen" within the famous hadeeth Ad-Deenu Naasiha (The Religion is Sincere Advise).

Abu Layla falsely explained the hadeeth in a manner that no sahaaba and no genuine scholar has ever explained the hadeeth, generalizing the Prophet's statement "the leaders of the Muslimeen" to even include Masjid Rahmah's administration, Imam and security, and thus falsely establish by way of his distortion that those who oppose the aforementioned administration's direction and advice are considered to be individuals who make Khurooj (rebellion) against the Muslim Rulers!

Abu Yusuf brought the explanations of many honorable scholars - past and present - to show that "the leaders of the Muslimeen" in this hadeeth and in the ayah 59 of Soorat an-Nisaa` refers to:

1- the Muslim rulers of the Muslim lands,
2- the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jama'ah

Abu Yusuf also clarified that this dangerous explanation of Abu Layla opens the door to Hizbiyah, and also opens the door to giving bay'ah (pledge) to other than the Muslim ruler, which is in fact from the manhaj of the Ikhwanul Muslimeen.

Here are two excerpts:

The Noble Shaykh Muhammad bin Umar Baazmool (may Allaah preserve him) stated in his treatise titled "'Ilm Sharhil Hadeeth" from "Silsilah ad-Diraasah al-Hadeethiyyah" p.g. 506:

"Know that having a bad/evil understanding of the Magnificent Qur'aan and the Noble Sunnah is considered innovation in the religion as well as in the legislation. Innovation in the legislation comes about from the following angles:

1. Either it comes from the angle of ignorance.

2. Either it comes from the angle of the person having good thoughts about his own intellect.

3. Either it comes from the angle of following the desires in seeking the truth."

And Abu Yusuf brought a fatwah from Shaikh Muhammad bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah) about this very topic:

Here is a questioned posed to the Noble Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadi al-Madkhalee (may Allaah preserve him):

"Our Noble Shaykh, may Allaah preserve you: Some of the Imaams of the Masaajid here in America claim that they are to be heard and obeyed like the rulers and the scholars (of the Muslim lands) and they apply the proofs of obedience (to the rulers) to themselves. So what is the ruling concerning this statement? How do we respond to this? Benefit us, and may Allaah reward you with good."

The Shaykh responded by saying:

"All praise is due to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. May the prayers and peace of Allaah be upon the noblest of Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, His family and all of His companions. To proceed:

Says the one who is in need of the pardon of His Lord, Muhammad bin Haadi al-Madkhalee (may Allaah preserve him):

Whoever claims this affair which the questioner has mentioned, then he is misguided and astray from the way of Ahlis-Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah. This matter is well-known even by the youth and the elderly from the People of the Sunnah, and the praise is due to Allaah for that. That is only due to the severity of its appearance amongst the People of the Sunnah. It is upon the one who made this statement to repent to Allaah and return to the methodology of the Sunnah and the Jamaa'ah. If he does not return, then be aware of him and warn the people against him, for indeed this statement is proof that he harbours evil and wickedness.

May Allaah send the prayers, peace and blessings upon His Servant and Messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions."
